Judy Bentley founded Community Health-In-Partnership Services (CHIPS) in 1990 to increase access to health care for the uninsured and underserved. Mrs. Bentley has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences from Webster University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from St. Louis University. She served as a Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years. She has received numerous awards for her service, including recognition from Saint Louis University Black Alumni Association; YWCA; FOCUS St. Louis; St. Louis American; Annie Malone Children and Family Service Center; Morehouse College; and St. Louis Business Journal Health Care Heroes, 100 Black Men; 1904 Worlds Fair Charitable Foundation. In 2004 she received the Robert Wood Johnson Community Health Leader Award, one of ten individuals out of 800 nominees nationally to be selected for this prestigious award. Mrs. Bentley is also a member of the Smurfit-Stone Entrepreneurial Alumni Hall of Fame at Saint Louis University where she was recognized for her leadership as a social entrepreneur developing and implementing community health and wellness programs.
