CHIPS is a nonprofit organization that provides health care and social services for the underserved and uninsured in the St. Louis region. At CHIPS, clients are defined not by their illness, but by their ability to attain wellness.
CHIPS' clinical team is made up largely of volunteers, including doctors, dentists, nurses, health educators, community outreach workers, social workers and complementary health specialists.
CHIPS recognizes that low-income underserved and uninsured families often delay addressing health-related issues due to the high cost of care. Consequently, CHIPS collaborates with businesses, schools, faith-based organizations and others to conduct frequent community health outreach programs that include screenings, assessments and education.
